Barbarella Austin

Barbarella is a dance club and bar at 611 Red River Street, inside Austin's Red River Cultural District, an area better known for indie live-music venues than tourist bars. The room favors indie, electro, and dance selections over mainstream chart music, with a small stage, a bar counter, and a dance floor that fills up on busy nights. It has built a following for LGBTQ-friendly programming, including a recurring weekly night aimed at the queer community, and has repeatedly picked up local Best of Austin honors in dance club and party categories. It generally opens in the evening and runs into the early morning hours in line with Texas bar licensing.
