ABATE of Arizona is a non-profit 501(c)(4) motorcycle rights organization formed in 1987 to protect motorcyclist freedoms and promote rider safety and education. The organization operates the Motorcycle Awareness Program (MAP) and works with legislators and state agencies to advocate for rider-friendly policies. ABATE has contributed to eliminating motorcycle emission testing, passing lane filtering laws, and securing load safety regulations in Arizona.
The organization operates as a volunteer-driven advocacy group opposing discriminatory legislation while supporting rider education and motorcyclist awareness among drivers. ABATE of Arizona hosts annual events including the Too Broke for Sturgis Rally each June, with proceeds funding the organization's legislative and advocacy work.
