Who we are

The Biker Atlas is a directory of motorcycle-friendly places, routes and events. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Analytics (only with your consent). If you allow it in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages and tools help riders most. If you decline, no analytics runs. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.
• Email address, if you sign up. When you subscribe to the newsletter, a free guide or an email course, we store the email address you give us and the page you signed up from.
• Form submissions. If you claim a listing, submit an event, request a removal or contact us, we store what you send so we can act on it.
• Server logs. Like nearly every website, our servers keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. They are not used for marketing.

Cookies

We use one strictly-necessary item of browser storage to remember your cookie choice, and — only if you allow it — Google Analytics cookies. You can decline analytics in the banner with no loss of functionality. To change your choice later, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will ask again.

Email

We send only what you signed up for: the newsletter, the guide or course you requested, and occasional site updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately. We run our own sending system and we never sell, rent or share our list.

Payments

If you purchase a listing upgrade or a product, payment is processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we receive only confirmation of the payment and what it was for.

Business listing information

The listings in this directory are compiled from publicly available sources. If a listing is about your business, you can claim it to correct or manage it, or request its removal — removal requests are handled by a person within 5 business days.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the service providers that run the site (hosting, consent-gated analytics, payment processing) and when the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@thebikeratlas.com and we'll take care of it.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date. Material changes to how we handle email will also be announced to the list.
