American Land & Leisure manages the Salt Springs Recreation Area in Ocala National Forest, a premier camping destination centered around a natural mineral spring.
This facility operates within the northern section of the Ocala National Forest, providing access to one of the region’s most significant natural springs. The spring maintains a constant temperature of 74 degrees year-round and is a popular destination for swimming and snorkeling among various species of fish and blue crabs.
The property features more than 160 campsites and is distinguished as the only location in the forest with full RV hookups, including water, sewer, and electricity. It also includes a designated tent camping area, a boat launch for access to Salt Springs Run, and a camp store for essential supplies.
Riders can explore nearby nature routes such as the Bear Swamp Trail or access a segment of the 1,400-mile Florida National Scenic Trail. The surrounding forest area offers hundreds of miles of forest roads and trails through a unique Florida scrub habitat.
