The park offers 16 hike-in campsites split across four areas (East Bay, Ridge, Sunrise and Kayak Camp), each with nearby water and pit toilets, and the Ridge sites look out over the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco skyline.
A rider planning to camp here needs to leave the bike at the mainland ferry dock, since campers hike 1.5 to 2 miles uphill from the Ayala Cove landing carrying all their own gear; there is no vehicle access anywhere on the island.
