Anthony Chabot Campground is the developed, reservable campground inside Anthony Chabot Regional Park, sitting about a mile and a half above Lake Chabot in Castro Valley and only about twenty minutes from downtown Oakland. It has seventy five sites in total: twelve RV sites with thirty amp full hookups, one developed group site, fifty three drive-up tent sites and ten hike-in tent sites, run by the East Bay Regional Park District.
Campers have access to hot showers, flush toilets, a dump station and an amphitheater that hosts seasonal campfire programs. The entry gate is locked overnight from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., and reservations go through the district's reservations department rather than a walk-up basis.
