Badin Lakes Campground

Badin Lakes Campground borders the lakeshore of the 5,000-acre Badin Lake in central North Carolina's Uwharrie National Forest, located about an hour northeast of Charlotte and an hour south of Greensboro. The campground features 35 non-electric sites for tent and camper trailer camping. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring with grill, lantern post, and tent pad. Flush toilets and hot showers are conveniently located in both the upper and lower loops, with drinking water accessible throughout the campground. Some sites are located directly on the lakeshore. Popular recreation activities include picnicking, swimming, boating, and fishing for bass, bream, crappie, and catfish. A boat ramp is located 2 miles from the campground. A trail system connects both loops and meanders around the lake's many fingers, providing additional fishing spots and scenic overlooks beyond individual campsites. The campground accepts reservations year-round, with walk-in availability limited.
