Bandit's Roost Campground sits on the south side of W. Kerr Scott Reservoir in western North Carolina's Yadkin River Valley near the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Army Corps of Engineers facility provides 102 campsites including 17 tent-only sites and 85 standard sites with water and electric hookups. The 1,475-acre reservoir supports boating, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming, with opportunities to fish for bass, catfish, bluegill, and striped bass.
The campground operates mid-April through October with facilities including flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, and dump stations. Recreation options feature boat ramps, a swimming beach, playground, basketball court, and amphitheater. Multi-use trails enable hiking and mountain biking with access to the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail.
