Barfly's

Barfly's has been a fixture on Airport Boulevard in Austin since it opened on March 14, 2001, and its owners say it hasn't missed a day of business since. It's a straightforward neighborhood dive bar with no house cocktail menu, no beer on tap, and no live music, built instead around a jukebox, three coin-operated pool tables, a foosball table, and a run of classic arcade games. The drink list runs to inexpensive mixed drinks and a rotating selection of local and import bottled beer, served in a relaxed, unpolished lounge that leans into its dive-bar identity rather than dressing it up. Owner Marcos Canchola has since opened a second bar, The Golden Horn, on the ground floor of the same building, giving riders two stops in one location.
