Bashford's Hot Mineral Spa, established in 1963 at 10590 Hot Mineral Spa Road in Niland near the Salton Sea, is built around a natural hot mineral well drawing water from about five hundred thirty feet underground at roughly one hundred fifty degrees, cooled and piped into six heated mineral baths. The park has around one hundred forty-three full-hookup sites with 30 and 50 amp electric, water, sewer and propane, taking both RV travelers and tent campers.
Beyond the mineral baths, there is a heated swimming pool, a heated jacuzzi, a recreation room, a card room with pool tables and horseshoe courts. The spa operates seasonally, open October 15 through May 15, with day use available for a fee outside overnight stays.
