Bells Island Campground has operated since 1963 on 22 acres along the Currituck Sound in the northern Outer Banks. The facility provides 39 full hook-up RV sites and 24 RV sites with water and electricity, plus a tent area. All RV sites feature complete water, electrical, and sewer hookups with 30/50 amp service options. The location on the Currituck Sound provides access to shallow-water activities approximately 20 minutes by boat to Corolla, with the Currituck Sound Ferry just 5 minutes away.
Recreation centers on water activities with a pier for fishing and crabbing, boat ramp included with stays, tennis court, volleyball area, and sound swimming. The campground is pet-friendly and popular for bird watching due to abundant migratory birds and waterfowl including bald eagles and ospreys regularly observed in the area.
