Blue Owl Brewing

Blue Owl Brewing has been making sour beer in East Austin since 2015, based at 2400 East Cesar Chavez Street near the corner of Pedernales. The brewery built its reputation on approachable sours, using its souring process to accent the beer rather than overwhelm it, alongside a rotating lineup of standard styles under its own Bob's Fine Beers label. The taproom keeps a shorter week, closed Monday and Tuesday and open afternoons into the evening Wednesday through Sunday, with pizza and cheese boards available from the on-site kitchen. Both the patio and the indoor tasting room welcome dogs, and the East Austin location puts it a short ride from downtown for anyone exploring that side of the city.
