Blue Springs Park 7450 Ne 60th Street

14933 Main St, Alachua, FL

Formerly a private park, this state facility features a massive second-magnitude spring and offers swimming, paddling, and wooded campsites near the Santa Fe River.

The park's centerpiece is the main spring head, a second-magnitude spring that pumps roughly 44 million gallons of water daily into a run that flows to the Santa Fe River. Visitors can swim in the crystal-clear basin, which remains a constant 72 degrees year-round, or explore the additional five natural springs found within the 407-acre property. A shallow spring run provides a scenic route for kayakers and canoers to reach the river, where the surrounding cypress wetlands offer excellent wildlife viewing. For overnight stays, the park features a campground with RV and tent sites situated in a natural hardwood hammock, providing a quiet retreat for those touring North Florida’s spring country.
