As a group-only destination, it offers exclusive use of the grounds, which include a large grassy area for tent setups, a private fishing pier, and a central campfire ring. Located off State Road 19, the campground serves as a convenient base for exploring the Ocala National Forest’s vast network of trails and springs. The Florida National Scenic Trail passes nearby, offering a 1.7-mile shoreline hiking loop around the lake. Visitors can also enjoy fishing for bass and crappie or launching small watercraft, though only electric motors are permitted to maintain the area’s tranquil atmosphere.
