Cache Creek Regional Park Campground
Vallejo, CA
Cache Creek Regional Park Campground is a Yolo County park along Highway 16 about six miles north of Rumsey, California -- not Vallejo, which is roughly 60 miles away in a different county. The park covers more than 600 acres of oak woodland, grassland and riparian habitat along Cache Creek and is split into three sections; the Middle Campground area has 45 individual sites plus four group camps, two restroom buildings, coin showers, a playground and picnic tables, with a day-use parking fee for visitors who aren't camping.
The campground is a launch point for whitewater rafting and kayaking on Cache Creek, along with hiking and fishing, and its Highway 16 canyon setting makes it a scenic stop for riders touring the rural roads of inland Yolo County. The campground does not take overnight campers on Mondays and Tuesdays during the season.
