Cachuma Lake Campground

Cachuma Lake Campground is the Santa Barbara County-run campground at Cachuma Lake Recreation Area, set on a peninsula off Highway 154 in the Santa Ynez Valley between Santa Barbara and Solvang. The park has roughly 200 campsites spread across tent sites, RV sites with full hookups, eight wooden cabins that sleep up to six, and seven glamping yurts overlooking the lake, along with group sites for larger parties. On-site amenities include showers, a swimming pool, laundry facilities and a general store selling groceries, beer, wine and gas; the lake itself is a drinking-water reservoir, so swimming in it is not allowed, but visitors can rent kayaks and pontoon boats or catch a wildlife cruise. For riders on Highway 154's switchbacks between Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley, it's a well-equipped stopover with camping options at a range of price points.
