Camp Concord

1000 Mt Tallac Rd B, South Lake Tahoe, CA

Camp Concord is a mountain camp between Lake Tahoe and Fallen Leaf Lake, operated by the City of Concord's Parks and Recreation Department on land leased from the U.S. Forest Service in the El Dorado National Forest. Lodging is in 28 basic cabins that each sleep four to six people, about half with electricity, and the camp runs both large group retreats and scheduled Family Camp weeks each summer. Family Camp sessions are open to anyone, not just Concord residents -- non-residents can register at a higher weekly rate -- and include cabin lodging, meals, and activities like canoeing, hiking, and beach trips to Lake Tahoe. It's a rustic, all-inclusive basecamp for exploring the Tahoe basin's back roads and lakeshore.
