Camp High Sierra

Camp High Sierra is a longstanding campground operated by the Mammoth Mountain ski resort, sitting between the town of Mammoth Lakes and the Lakes Basin near Twin Lakes and Lake Mary Road. The property centers on a historic recreational lodge and has been used as a family basecamp in the Eastern Sierra for over a century, with views toward the Sherwins, Mammoth Mountain and the Mammoth Crest. The campground offers tent sites, trailer and RV sites with hookups, and rustic bunk-style cabins, along with free hot showers and a game room for registered guests. Mammoth Mountain also runs its youth sleep-away summer camp programs out of the same lodge and grounds, but the campground itself takes public overnight bookings and is open daily through late September, with reservations made by phone through the resort.
