Camp Shelly

Camp Shelly is a twenty-five-site public campground on Highway 89 in the Lake Tahoe Basin, between Fallen Leaf Lake and Emerald Bay, operated by the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District on U.S. Forest Service land. Sites accommodate tents, tent trailers, and campers, with some able to fit motorhomes up to twenty-four feet, and each site has access to hot showers along with a metal fire pit and grill.
The campground is open seasonally from mid-June through early September and includes a picnic area, playground, basketball and volleyball courts, and horseshoe pits. It sits within hiking distance of the Glen Alpine and Mt. Tallac trailheads and is close to the Taylor Creek Visitor Center and the historic Vikingsholm estate at Emerald Bay.
