Clarks Fork Campground

Clark Fork Campground is a U.S. Forest Service campground in Stanislaus National Forest, sitting along the Clark Fork of the Stanislaus River about five miles off Highway 108, the Sonora Pass Highway, roughly 25 miles east of the Summit Ranger Station. It has 88 sites split across two loops, ranging from vault-toilet sites to flush-toilet, ADA-accessible sites. Sites are first-come, first-served with no online reservations, open May through October. Riders working the Sonora Pass route get direct access to the river for fishing, hiking trails toward Carson-Iceberg Wilderness, and the nearby Iceberg Meadow Trailhead, making it a solid overnight stop along one of the higher, twistier passes in the Sierra.
