Clive Bar sits in a wooden structure at 609 Davis Street, just off Rainey Street, and is part of the Dunlap ATX group of Austin bars. The building keeps a cozy, homely feel that stands apart from the newer high-rise towers surrounding the Rainey Street district, and the bar pours classic cocktails and its own original drink recipes alongside beer and wine. The patio is the draw for a lot of visitors, a large, multi-level space with string lighting and cobblestone paths that includes a covered deck and a back area built around a historical horse stable. It functions as a popular happy-hour gathering spot and a relatively low-key alternative to the louder bars deeper into Rainey Street.
