CMT/ABATE, Inc. (Concerned Motorcyclists of Tennessee/ABATE) is a 501(c)(4) political organization formed in 1992 to preserve freedom and advance safety for all Tennessee motorcyclists. The organization works to modify existing laws that negatively impact motorcycle safety and enjoyment while enacting new legislation supporting rider interests. Operating as a statewide advocacy group rather than a social club, CMT/ABATE coordinates with local chapters to advance rider-friendly policies.
The organization works directly with Tennessee legislators and government agencies to address issues affecting motorcyclists. CMT/ABATE combines legislative action with community involvement to represent the interests of all riders in the state.
