Crane Flat Campground

Crane Flat Campground sits on Big Oak Flat Road (Highway 120) in Yosemite National Park, about 30 minutes northwest of Yosemite Valley at roughly 6,200 feet elevation. The National Park Service campground has 166 sites that accommodate RVs up to 35 feet and trailers up to 27 feet, and it typically operates from July through mid-October. Reservations are handled through Recreation.gov and open up to five months ahead; sites at this popular gateway campground often sell out within minutes of release, though cancellations do appear periodically. Its position near the Tioga Road and Big Oak Flat entrance makes it a practical high-country stop on a Yosemite loop.
