Dirty Bill's

Dirty Bill's is a small dive bar on Rio Grande Street in downtown Austin that has been pouring drinks since 2008. It's a tight space that gets little natural light, but reviewers describe it as surprisingly rowdy for its size, with bartenders known to take shots and dance on the bar with regulars. The bar was voted Best Dive Bar by Austin Monthly in 2017 and has built a following around its gnome mascot, which has become something of an unofficial symbol of the place. It's a lower-key alternative to the bigger club-style bars nearby on 6th Street.
