Dry Fork Road (WV-72)

WV-72, known locally as Dry Fork Road, runs 54 miles from Kingwood south through Preston County to Parsons. The route parallels the Cheat River for much of its length, offering scenic creek views throughout the ride. Northern sections feature smooth sweeping turns and soft sweepers across rolling terrain, while the southern sections deliver low-speed twisties through narrow valleys. Pavement conditions vary significantly along the route. North of Parsons offers good pavement and smooth riding, while the southern portion becomes more challenging with gravel sections and no guardrails in many spots.
