Ernie's On The Lake sits on the shore of Lake Travis at Emerald Point in Austin, reachable by road or by boat thanks to courtesy docks that let boaters tie up and walk straight in for a meal. Owner Ernie Beltz Sr. relaunched the property in the space once known as the Rusty Rudder and later Carlos'n Charlie's, rebuilding it into a waterfront restaurant and bar with sweeping lake views. Daytime hours lean family friendly with food service, while the bar switches to a 21 and older crowd in the evening with live music running Thursday through Sunday.
