Floppy Disk Repair Co. is a themed cocktail bar on East 5th Street in downtown Austin, done up as a retro tech repair shop turned horror hangout complete with body bags and life size dolls scattered through the space. It also operates under the name Red Headed Stepchild, and entry runs through a changing access code that guests get from bartenders at nearby spots, giving it a speakeasy feel. Inside, swings hang at one end of the bar and the drink program leans into inventive mixology rather than a standard well pour list. Open daily from late afternoon into the early morning hours, it is a downtown stop built for guests looking for something more theatrical than a typical Austin bar.
