Fort Miller Campsite (Millerton Lake SRA)

Fort Miller is one of the named campground loops within Millerton Lake State Recreation Area near Friant, California, on the reservoir formed by Friant Dam on the San Joaquin River. It sits alongside the park's other camping areas, including Rocky Point, Mono, Dumna Strand, Valley Oak, and Meadows, with sites offering picnic tables and fire rings and some able to accommodate RVs.
The wider recreation area provides flush toilets, drinking water, and a boat launch, and the lake supports swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing for bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish, plus hiking and biking trails nearby. As a state park campground unit east of Fresno, Fort Miller is a straightforward overnight stop for travelers heading into the Sierra Nevada foothills.
