Forest Rd 4N01, Cold Springs, CA
Fraser Flat Campground is a U.S. Forest Service campground in Stanislaus National Forest, set among mature trees along the South Fork Stanislaus River about three miles north of Highway 108 at the Spring Gap turnoff near Cold Springs, California. The campground has 38 sites with vault toilets and piped water but no hookups, at an elevation of about 4,800 feet, and sits next to a day-use area with fishing piers.
It operates first-come, first-served from roughly May through October, with a maximum vehicle length of 22 feet and a 14-day stay limit. Trails along the river lead upstream toward Strawberry, and Pinecrest Lake is a short drive away, making it a straightforward overnight stop for riders touring Highway 108 through the Sierra.
