Granite Flat Campground

Granite Flat Campground sits on the banks of the Truckee River along Highway 89, about three miles south of Truckee in the Tahoe National Forest, shaded by Jeffrey and lodgepole pines. The campground has 70 single-family sites, including seven tent-only spots, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, grill, and bear box for food storage. The campground provides accessible vault toilets and drinking water, and is popular for fly-fishing, swimming, and tubing on the adjacent river, along with hiking and biking access to trails near Lake Tahoe. Most single-family and group sites can be reserved through Recreation.gov or by phone with the Forest Service, and the campground typically operates from late spring through mid-fall.
