Green Valley Picnic & Campground

Green Valley Campground sits at about 4,000 feet elevation in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park near Descanso, California, roughly 35 miles east of San Diego off Interstate 8 and Highway 79. The campground occupies a sheltered valley among oaks, pines, and manzanita, with generously sized sites offering shade and separation, and sits directly next to Green Valley Falls, reachable by a short trail from the campground itself. Facilities include potable water, restrooms, an RV dump station, fire rings, and picnic tables, with some sites offering showers and flush toilets. The park is open year-round, with reservations available up to six months in advance and nightly fees between $40 and $45, and visitors come for hiking, wildlife viewing, and a seasonal swimming hole at the falls.
