Greenhorn Campground

Greenhorn Campground sits on the northern arm of Rollins Lake in the Sierra foothills near Grass Valley, about seven miles from Colfax and just off Highway 174. The privately operated lakefront campground spreads across several distinct areas, including Rocky Point, Lake Front, Meadow, Pine Grove, Cabana, and Wagon Wheel, with roughly 79 sites on gravel or dirt pads, many within walking distance of the water. Riders coming off the Highway 174 corridor will find a boat launch ramp, a swim beach, a small convenience store, showers, WiFi, a game room, and horseshoe pits on site. The lake draws boaters, water-skiers, and anglers chasing trout, kokanee salmon, catfish, and bass, making the campground a good lakeside stop for an overnight stay along a Sierra foothills ride.
