Greys Mountain
Fresno, CA
Greys Mountain Campground is a U.S. Forest Service campground in Sierra National Forest, reached from Fresno by heading north on Highway 41 through Oakhurst to Sky Ranch Road near Bass Lake. Set along Willow Creek at about 5,400 feet elevation, the campground has 26 sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring, plus vault toilets; there is no potable water on site, so visitors need to bring their own supply.
The campground operates seasonally from May through November on a first-come, first-served basis, with no reservations taken. A stocked stretch of Willow Creek offers trout fishing for license holders, and the nearby Bull Buck Trail leads to a stand of giant sequoias. The final stretch of access road is rough with potholes, so it suits smaller RVs and trailers better than large rigs.
