Gualala River Redwood Park
46001 Gualala Rd, Gualala, CA
Gualala River Redwood Park is a privately run campground about 1.5 miles inland from Highway 1 in Gualala, on California's Mendocino coast. Towering redwoods shade more than 100 of the park's roughly 120 sites, which come with electric and water hookups, a picnic table, and a fire ring; about 30 sites sit close enough to the Gualala River to offer water views.
The slow-moving river stays shallow through the dry months, a favorite for kids to wade, tube, or kayak, and a mile-long loop trail winds through the redwoods from the campground. On-site facilities include showers, restrooms, and laundry, plus swings, a slide, horseshoes, and a volleyball court. The park operates seasonally from May through October, a scenic stop for riders working Highway 1 along the Sonoma-Mendocino coast.
