Half Moon Bay State Beach Campground

Half Moon Bay, CA

Half Moon Bay State Beach Campground sits at Francis Beach, part of the four-beach Half Moon Bay State Beach unit run by California State Parks. The campground has 52 sites for tents, trailers, and RVs up to 40 feet, with 34 of those offering electric hookups; there are no water or sewer hookups, but a dump station and a water-filling station are on site. Every site includes a paved parking spur, a picnic table, a fire ring, and a grill, and the campground has drinking water, flush toilets, and showers. A coastal trail runs about four miles along the bay, and the beach itself is popular for surfing and surf fishing. Reservations go through ReserveCalifornia and fill up well ahead of peak season.
