Hidden Valley Campground

Hidden Valley Campground is a National Park Service campground inside Joshua Tree National Park near the park's west entrance, surrounded by granite boulder formations that make it a hub for rock climbers and boulderers. The campground has 44 first-come, first-served sites with picnic tables, fire pits, and pit toilets, but no water or hookups, and camping costs 15 dollars per site per night. RVs are welcome but limited to 24 feet due to the narrow access road, and sites fill quickly on weekends, holidays, and school breaks. Riders touring Joshua Tree's desert roads use Hidden Valley as a base for exploring Intersection Rock and the park's boulder-strewn landscape; with no advance reservations, arriving on a weekday morning improves the odds of finding an open site.
