Hodgdon Meadow Campground

Hodgdon Meadow Campground sits just inside Yosemite National Park's Big Oak Flat entrance near Groveland, California, about 25 miles from Yosemite Valley at an elevation of 4,875 feet. The 105-site campground runs from mid-April through December, with paved roads and parking spurs, flush toilets, drinking water, and RV sites up to 40 feet; 66 of the sites are tent-only, and every site has a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof food locker. A 2.5- to 3-mile round-trip trail from the campground leads to the Tuolumne and Merced Groves of giant sequoias, and a gas station and small store sit eight miles away at Crane Flat. Reservations open five months ahead on the 15th of each month at 7 a.m. Pacific and typically sell out quickly.
