Hume Lake Campground

Hume Lake Campground is a U.S. Forest Service campground within Sequoia National Forest, sitting on the northern end of Hume Lake about 10 miles northeast of Grant Grove off Highway 180. It is a distinct, individually reservable federal campground, separate from the privately run Hume Lake Christian Camps organization that also operates facilities around the lake, with 74 single- and double-family campsites among incense cedars and ponderosa pines, plus flush toilets and drinking water. The campground sits within walking distance of Hume Lake's public general store, marina, and boat rentals, which are open to all visitors regardless of the surrounding camp operations, and it offers fishing, canoeing, hiking, and swimming at 5,250 feet elevation. It's typically open mid-May through mid-September and bookable through Recreation.gov.
