Island Pier Club

Island Pier Club is a one room dive bar just off the Seawall in Galveston, occupying a corner spot that has served as a bar since the 1940s. The current iteration was opened by Galveston native Brian Lepo in 2013 and keeps things simple: a single bartender, a well used pool table, a jukebox, and a handful of push button slot machines. Live music runs on Monday evenings and karaoke shows up on select Thursday and Saturday nights, drawing a steady crowd of locals rather than a tourist scene. Its location just steps from the Seawall makes it an easy stop for riders working the Galveston coastline before or after a run along the beach road.
