King Bee

King Bee is an East Austin lounge set in an old-school club space with vintage details, named after the Slim Harpo blues song I'm a King Bee. The bar runs a handwritten cocktail menu that rotates with the seasons, built around perennial favorites like the Bees Knees and Naked and Famous, and pairs it with housemade pizza from the kitchen. Outside, the patio has a fire pit for cooler nights and is open to dogs, and the bar hosts recurring live blues nights on the calendar. Sitting on East 12th Street, it's a low-key alternative to the downtown bar strips, geared toward the neighborhood rather than the tourist crowd.
