Knotty Deck and Bar

The Knotty Deck and Bar is the restaurant and bar inside the Renaissance Austin Hotel in the Arboretum area, renovated in August 2015 into its current farm-to-table format. Executive Chef Kent Hargrove's menu draws on ingredients from around Texas, with dishes like brisket nachos, guajillo adobo tostadas, and Korea-style tacos alongside a classic cocktail list. The space pairs an indoor dining room with an outdoor deck looking out over Hill Country views, giving it a different feel than a typical downtown Austin bar. It runs a daily happy hour from 4 to 6pm and stays open from early morning until midnight, making it a viable stop well outside normal bar hours for anyone routed through the Arboretum area north of downtown.
