La Jolla Indian Campground

La Jolla Indian Campground sits on the La Jolla Indian Reservation along the San Luis Rey River in Pauma Valley, run by the La Jolla Band of Luiseno Indians and open to the public since the 1930s. The grounds offer semi-primitive tent sites, group sites, and partial-hookup RV camping in a shaded riverside setting, with daily-cleaned restrooms and warm showers.
Visitors can walk to a zipline course, a downhill mountain bike park, and seasonal river tubing, and the property includes a restaurant and convenience store. It sits along Highway 76, a route through northern San Diego County's backcountry that draws motorcycle travelers heading toward Palomar Mountain. Pets are not permitted on the property.
