Lake Cahuilla County Park

Lake Cahuilla County Park is a 710-acre Riverside County regional park at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains in the Coachella Valley, about four miles southeast of La Quinta. The developed campground has 56 sites, 46 with water and electric hookups and 10 with water only, bookable first-come, first-served or by reservation, along with a primitive group camping area. The park centers on a 135-acre stocked lake for shore fishing, plus equestrian and hiking trails, picnic areas, showers, and a dump station; a public swimming pool operates weekends from mid-April through mid-October. The park keeps seasonal weekday closures in the peak summer months, so riders planning a stop should check current hours before arriving.
