Lake Elsinore City Camp Grounds
32040 Riverside Dr # U, Lake Elsinore, CA
The campground at 32040 Riverside Drive in Lake Elsinore began life as a California state campground in the 1960s and was deeded to the City of Lake Elsinore in 1993; today it operates as Launch Pointe Recreation Destination & RV Park after a full renovation completed between 2017 and 2019. The city-run property has around 182 sites, including roughly 28 tent sites, with hookups up to 50-amp service, accepting RVs as large as 45 feet, and offers seven distinct camping areas ranging from secluded tent spots to open lakeview lawns.
Beyond standard hookup sites, the park adds vintage trailer and yurt rentals for travelers without their own rig, along with restrooms, showers, a dump station, a playground, and direct fishing and boat-launch access to Lake Elsinore. Its award-winning renovation has made it one of the better-known RV destinations in the Lake Elsinore area, distinct from the separately run West Marina property nearby.
