Lilac Oaks Campground and RV Park covers 55 acres at 30821 Lilac Road in Valley Center, about five miles north of Escondido, and has been under new ownership since 2021. The property offers 107 sites, a mix of full-hookup and water-and-electric RV sites, plus tent camping, spread among oak trees near a large pond.
A hiking trail loops around the entire campground, with views over rolling hills and seasonal streambeds lined with native oak and sycamore. The park keeps posted office hours Tuesday through Saturday and offers long-term RV space rental alongside its shorter-stay sites, making it a base for riders exploring inland San Diego County backroads.
