Little Basin Cabins and Campground

Little Basin Cabins and Campground is a 534-acre California State Parks property within Big Basin Redwoods State Park near Boulder Creek, added to the park through a partnership between the Peninsula Open Space Trust and the Sempervirens Fund. Once a retreat for Hewlett-Packard employees, it now offers 12 cabins, 38 tent sites, and RV sites with 30- and 50-amp electrical and water hookups, big-rig friendly, plus a large group camping area. Restrooms with showers serve the campground, and miles of trails through old-growth redwoods lead toward Berry Creek Falls. The property enforces no-pets and no-alcohol rules throughout the camp and trails, and no smoking anywhere on site, so riders planning a stop should come prepared for a quieter, family-oriented redwoods setting.
