Live Oak Brewing Company

Live Oak Brewing Company has been making traditional German-style lagers and ales in Austin since 1997, and the brewery now runs a taproom and biergarten built on a larger piece of land between downtown Austin and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, after outgrowing its original East 5th Street industrial space. The taproom pours four year-round beers plus close to twenty seasonal and limited releases. The grounds include an eighteen-hole disc golf course, rotating food trucks, and space for brewery tours, beer release parties and trivia nights, giving it a family-friendly, all-day feel rather than a strictly nighttime bar. It is a worthwhile detour for a rider looking for a proper Austin craft brewery stop with room to spread out.
