Los Prietos Campground is a Los Padres National Forest campground along Paradise Road in the Santa Ynez Mountains, roughly 19 miles from downtown Santa Barbara. Reached via Highway 154 and then Paradise Road, it sits under mature oak trees next to the Santa Ynez River and offers single-family tent and RV sites with picnic tables, campfire rings, flush toilets, and drinking water, though there are no RV utility hookups.
Paradise Road is a favorite for riders coming out of Santa Barbara toward the Santa Ynez Valley and the Los Padres backcountry, and the campground gives them a base for river access, hiking, and exploring nearby forest roads. Sites can be reserved in advance, with fees covering up to six people and one vehicle per site.
