Lustre Pearl Rainey

Lustre Pearl Rainey is the current home of the bar that started the whole Rainey Street district, having reopened at 94 Rainey Street after its original 1895 building at 97 Rainey was relocated off the street in 2014. It's still run under the same Lustre Pearl name and remains part of the small group of bars, including Container Bar and Clive Bar, built by the same founders. The bar is credited as the first to open on what was then a quiet residential street back in 2009, a move that kicked off Rainey Street's transformation into the dense strip of bars and restaurants riders now recognize as one of downtown Austin's main nightlife stretches.
