McGrath State Beach

McGrath State Beach is a California State Parks unit at 2211 N Harbor Blvd in Oxnard, CA, along the Santa Clara River estuary. The park is known as a birdwatching destination and offers about two miles of beach for surfing and fishing, though state park notices warn that ocean currents and riptides can be strong. The park's campground has been closed since flooding tied to the Santa Clara River estuary, and California State Parks has an active wetlands restoration and campground relocation project underway with no confirmed campground reopening date as of this writing. Day-use access to the beach has continued to operate on posted park hours.
